Para conmemorar el IV centenario del frustrado ataque de Francis Drake a la Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (noviembre de 1595), el Museo Militar de Almeyda organizó una exposición cartográfica, con todos los planos conocidos de la ciudad, que se celebró en los meses de noviembre y diciembre de 1995, en la Casa de Colón de la capital grancanaria. La exposición iba acompañada de la edición de un catalogo-atlas y de una colección de láminas con planos de la Ciudad.
