El libro Hombres ilustres de Almagro pretende ser un homenaje a los hombres y mujeres de la Ciudad Encajera, a los que habiendo nacido en ella lucharon por ella, para mejorarla y engrandecerla, pero tambien para aquellos que sin ser de Almagro, y que identificados con ella, han hecho posible la ciudad que hoy vemos, tenemos y disfrutamos. A lo largo de las casi seiscientas paginas el autor desgrana cada una de las vidas de los personajes, teniendo como telon de fondo Almagro en sus distintas epocas y etapas de la Historia.
