Se completa con la transcripción, que facilita la comprensión, al corregir algunos aspectos erróneos en interpretaciones previas, proporcionando instrucciones de uso y reglas de cálculo para determinar con precisión la latitud, dato imprescindible para culminar con éxito cualquier actividad marítima de la Europa renacentista.
