The present research work is based on original manuscripts and testimonies from architect González Gortázar (b. Mexico) regarding his transcendent architecture and urban designs. González Gortázar is considered at present one of the most important architects of México, creator of spaces and urban art that are now geometric symbols and references of the city of Guadalajara in México. The architect strongly practices the concept of "Space and Art" and where the city should never loose their social function for which it was originally conceived and constructed.

The book is the resulting papers from the Seminars of Latin American Architecture (SAL) organized by CEDODAL as an example of academic cooperation between Latin American architects who share their concern for the conservation of the region's architectural patrimony. This edition comprises case studies and historical, economic, social and architectural analysis of the farms and landowners of the haciendas and estancias from 7 countries of Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, México, Perú and Puerto Rico.

Taking as a starting point a design for a mobile theater made at the Architectural Association of London between 1970 and1971 by Spanish architect Javier Navarro de Zuvillaga (born 1942), this book traces the architectural counterculture of that time and the relations with the alternative performing arts.
