El otro Lihn

Sinopsis del Libro

Libro El otro Lihn

El Otro Lihn explores the cultural endeavors of Enrique Lihn through a number of key viewpoints offered by professors, writers, artists, and family members. The voices of seventeen people explore the poet's critical posture toward Chilean and Latin American culture and describe in detail the many challenges Lihn faced when undertaking the creation of a heterogeneous body of work -poetry books, plays, novels, essays, videos, "happenings" and the comic book Roma, la loba. The interviews set Lihn's life and work against important Latin American historical events such as the repressive cultural turn the Cuban revolution took on in the Heberto Padilla "case" (1969), the sectarian cultural policies of the Allende government (1971-1973), and the cultural deprivation of Chilean society under the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet (1973-1989).
