Inter Cives Necnon Peregrinos

El interés de este libro es el de estudiar la relación del Estado colombiano y la Iglesia católica en un ámbito preciso: la asistencia social, que si bien se encuentra ubicada en las decisiones políticas del Estado colombiano dentro de un marco legal, su exploración nos muestra otro tipo de relación que se encuentra por fuera de las relaciones partidistas e incluso por fuera de las relaciones entre la jerarquía eclesiástica y los poderes políticos.

Este libro busca establecer un diálogo inicial entre historiadores colombianos y chilenos del siglo XXI con el fin de dar a conocer, en ambos países, problemáticas históricas que puedan ser complementadas. Se pretende así avanzar en el futuro hacia miradas más integradas que permitan la construcción de narrativas en las que las experiencias históricas chilenas, colombianas y, por qué no decirlo, americanas, puedan ser conectadas, algo que ya se logra parcialmente en algunos capítulos de este libro.
