Sinopsis del Libro

Mujeres de hoy: textos, voces e imagenes is a content-based collection of works by Spanish, Spanish American, and Latina women designed for upper-level literature courses. Each chapter, which includes two literary selections by women writers, examines different sides of the same topic under exploration. These topics explore contemporary issues that challenge current thinking such as immigration, minority groups, race, religion, social status, and ecology. Yet Mujeres de hoy also speaks to the issues that affect the human experience - such as procreation and the construction of a gendered identity. Newspaper articles, testimonies, art, interviews, films, songs, and Web activities complement the two main readings.
