La arquitectura moderna ha apostado por la eterna juventud. La tersura de una piel sin machas ni arrugas parece ser el objetivo de la imaginería contemporánea. Pero el tiempo pinta con el pincel de la lluvia y el color de la suciedad. Lo que se deposita siempre es porquería, pero si subraya el carácter del edificio, la forma del elemento constructivo o la incidencia de la luz, le llamamos pátina. Este cuaderno esboza una reflexión sobre la posibilidad de prever la huella del tiempo, cronológico y meterológico, en nuestros edificios. Hay que saber envejecer.

The present research work is based on original manuscripts and testimonies from architect González Gortázar (b. Mexico) regarding his transcendent architecture and urban designs. González Gortázar is considered at present one of the most important architects of México, creator of spaces and urban art that are now geometric symbols and references of the city of Guadalajara in México. The architect strongly practices the concept of "Space and Art" and where the city should never loose their social function for which it was originally conceived and constructed.
