Sinopsis del Libro

En 1605 Miguel de Cervantes concluía su historia de El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha aventurando una posible continuación y abriendo, al mismo tiempo, la puerta a que otros pudiesen cantar «con mejor pluma» las andanzas de su héroe. Lo que no se imaginaba es que, casi diez años después y a la vista de que no salía la esperada segunda parte de su novela, un lector impaciente y tan entusiasta de su libro como hostil a su persona iba a arrebatarle el testigo para sacar de su retiro aldeano a don Quijote y a Sancho. Así, a finales del verano de 1614, este misterioso lector, camuflado bajo el seudónimo de Alonso Fernández de Avellaneda, lanzaba al público el Segundo tomo del ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha, apresurando a Cervantes a publicar su prometida segunda parte e inaugurando uno de los episodios más enigmáticos de la historia de la literatura española.
