Sinopsis del Libro

Esta novela transcurre en el marco de dos coordenadas históricas: el inicio de la guerra judeo romana del 66 d.C y el creciente despliegue de las primeras comunidades cristianas. El protagonista, Yair, miembro de una familia de comerciantes judíos, es el responsable de sus negocios en el Oriente. Viajero infatigable por las rutas de Arabia, Siria, Egipto y la India, regresa a Qumrán, el monasterio Esenio donde se había formado treinta años antes, coincidiendo con Jesús de Nazaret, cuyo mensaje ha sabido armonizar con el de los grandes maestros de la India. Mientras arde Jerusalén facilita una visión profunda y coherente de los principales protagonistas del desarrollo de las primeras comunidades cristianas y apuesta por presentar el mensaje de Jesús en su condición de llamada universal.
