Sie untersuchen darin unter anderem Wahlkampfstrategien und -taktiken sowie die mediale Darstellung der politischen Krise in den romanischen Ländern. Die empirisch belegten Analysen thematisieren sowohl einzelsprachliche Phänomene als auch sprachübergreifende Gemeinsamkeiten, wobei einzelne Studien mitunter weit über die lexikalische Ebene hinausgehen.
