El cine por regiones es el título del segundo volumen que dedica Juan Felipe Leal al año de 1909 (el primero lo consagró sólo a la Ciudad de México). En él divide el autor el territorio nacional en ocho áreas geográficas, en las que agrupa la información que recogió en diversos archivos y hemerotecas acerca de las actividades cinematográficas que se llevaron a cabo en ese espacio de tiempo.
